Made by our best Sangiovese vineyard from the toponym “Mulino”.
The low yield per hectare and the agronomic practices performed allow to get
widely-spaced bunches, obtaining an optimal technological and phenological
maturity for a grape of a superior quality.
A deep ruby red wine, with good olfactory intensity, with ripe red fruit, raspberry. Its tertiary aromas are tobacco and a sliglty balsamic closing.
On the taste it is presented with soft and fresh tannins, well balanced, with warm and savory note in closing.

Vines
The vineyards that give this wine come from the homonymous Mulino vineyard located at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level in Erboli locality in the municipality of Cavriglia.
The composition of the soil is of medium texture with a prevalence of sand and silt from the sandstone of the Chianti massif.
The age of the vineyard is 40 years and it is trained with spurred cordon with south-east exposure. The yield per hectare does not exceed 40 quintals and its longevity helps to produce every year one with the best concentration of phenolic elements essential for obtaining a wine that enhances the peculiarities of this terroir.
Vinification and ageing
Yield: 5,5/6 tons per hectare
Harvest time: beginning of october
Picking: grapes are hand picked and carried in 20 kg-cases
Pressing: soft pressing with immediate pumping of the juice to the vats at
controlled temprature
Fermentation temperature: 28°/30° C
Malolactic fermentation: in steel
Ageing: in 20 hl oak barrels for 12 months
Bottle ageing: 1 year
N° of bottles: 2.500
